Part TWO in our series highlighting some of our most interesting IBE finds. Today, we jump from Canada to Switzerland and look at a brand that went farming to beauty by building on ancient regional skincare traditions.
IBE Berlin 2019 Highlights
It’s a no brainer to use Q10 or Ubiquinone in skincare: after all, the natural substance was proven* to be efficient in topical treatments, acting as a cell stress and damage reducing antioxidant as well as a booster of collagen and elastin synthesis.

LediBelle however have taken a modern approach at a very traditional Appenzellian skincare secret: goat whey. Naturally rich in minerals, vitamins and Q10, the precious substance has been used for whey baths for ages. LediBelle’s formulas combine goat whey and goat butter with local, mineral-rich St. Jacob’s spring water and a slew of botanical extracts and natural oils.
And in case you wondered what the brand name means, LediBelle is a portmanteau derived from “Ledi”, a term used in the Alps to describe the local farmers’ traditional milk processing equipment, and “belle”, French for “the beautiful” (the female form).
P.S. Our next IBE highlight? We’re going back to colour cosmetics!
