Trusted Brands’ Beauty News in Autumn

It’s all about pampering and cocooning today! Rich textures for dry lips, velvety eye shadows for sultry beauty looks, gentle cleansing and hydrating formulas.

The ultra-rich and creamy RINGANA lip balm (pictured) was long available only as a GWP, from now on it can be ordered on the website. It’s by far the most luscious treatment out there — if your lips are legitimately chapped, this is the cure.

Berlin-based green beauty brand NUI have introduced their new range of vegan-friendly natural pressed blushes. All four shades (Amaia, Waimarie, Mahana, Anahira) are perfectly wearable, perfectly blendable and transparent-looking despite a quite powerful colour payoff. Anahira (pictured) is an absolutely perfect “I’m blushing” shade for my pale olive skin.

Farfalla Tonka Pampering Bliss Cream

If you’re not familiar with the Tonka bean, it’s a fantastic perfumer’s favourite, combining the fine scents of vanilla and sweet almond. Actually, one of my actual scent favourites is the Tonka single note by Florascent — I love the unique smell that much. Naturally, it was easy to fall for Farfalla Tonka Pampering Bliss Cream.

Farfalla have introduced and re-introduced many fans’ favourites in the course of their 2018 rebranding, and the Tonka range is one of those refurbished novelties. Designed to cocoon dehydrated skin, Tonka Pampering Bliss Cream also blends exquisitely well with Farfalla’s own oil and hydrolate collection for more skin bliss — and a perfectly customised skincare experience.

Santaverde line extension:
Xingu cleansing balm and toner

Formulated around powerful antioxidants extracted from cashew plants, Xingu was introduced a few years ago and has since proved to be a natural anti-ageing powerhouse.
It’s no secret that Yours truly is a big fan of the Xingu eye cream for its amazing plumping properties.

The combo of rich actives with Xingu line’s signature light textures have also proven to be a male fan’s favourite.

Two more Xingu products hit the shelves this Autumn: the age perfect cleansing balm (enriched with cashew juice and babassu oil) and the age perfect toner (powered with gentle but active natural antioxidants).

Also, can we please celebrate the beauty of the words “age perfect”, just for a second?
Thank you.

Stay tuned for a weeks-long test drive of the ultra-gentle balm and toner duo.

Is it Christmas yet?
Dr. Hauschka Xmas Collection

Due to the Dr. Hauschka press embargo we can’t reveal it yet but please:

Oct 16 reveal:

With an Advent Calendar and four gift sets, Dr. Hauschka offers a beautiful selection of presents that will thrill any new or seasoned fan of the German brand.

The Advent Calendar treats come packaged in reusable mini bags made from organic cotton, which lets you even decorate them yourself for your giftee — which is nice if you, like me, are partial to magical-looking advent calendars rather than “boxed” ones. Good one, Dr. H.!

The gift sets come in four “flavours”: body care (three 30 ml body balms at a price of two), hand care (neem stick, hand cream, complimentary nail buffer), facial care (cleanser, toner, rose day cream) and make-up. The make-up set contains a limited edition lipstick, a colourless lip liner and a complimentary pocket mirror.

New Solid/ Cream Eye Shadows, Kjaer Weis

Kjaer Weis is a make-up artist-founded beauty brand rooted in unapologetic perfectionism.

From the unique signature packaging to the ultra-dewy textures and flattering finishes, this is one of those green make-up brands that have long left the level of being “on par” with their conventional competition, establishing a whole new level of result and experience.

The new cream eye shadow formula surprises with a solid, velvety texture; a solid colour payoff and a longevity of wear. On a scale of rms to Gressa it’s definitely closer to Gressa — but to me feels even more solid. When blending, don’t be shy and pick enough colour for an even result.
