Who’s ready to launch into spring and embrace bright and pastel colours? A colourful beauty look fit for office or uni making subtle use of bold jewel colours.
Spring Signature Beauty Look
GEMSTONE SPRING
For this beauty look I used quite some colour: orange-pink on the lips, green and purple on the eyes, and a whole palette of delightful neutrals on the lids, but it remains very understated in its subtlety.
You can wear it with any fashion look really, pastel clothes, black, neutrals, and even a strong mix of statement colours I chose to wear – royal blue, vibrant violet, and malachite/ emerald green – will work very well.
Complexion: only foundation, no highlighting, no sculpting.
However, I like to prep my skin with a massage using a nourishing oil or oi serum, and to cut foundation with moisturiser for a more transparent effect.
On the lips, a bright hot coral/ pink reminds us of spring.
The matt finish adds to the overall subtle effect.
The eyes are gently sculpted using a rich neutral palette first. (‘Vanilla’ as a matt highlight on the brow bone, ‘Caramel’ on the lid, ‘Ganache’ in the crease).
Then, the lower lashline is lined with a green khol, blended to avoid harsh lines; the lashes get a wash of blackberry-violet mascara.

I like the lightness of this look, and its elegant vibes despite how many colours are actually used.
A closer look at some of the colours used, notice the bright coral-pink of the lipstick:
