“No planet B”: An Eco-Ethical, Everyday, Statement Look

Walking the green talk can sometimes mean wearing a lot of red 😉

An Ethical, Everyday Statement Fashion Look

This look is simple but sophisticated:

Bold colours framed by exquisite textures. The fire red combat boots lend the elegant black shoulder bag a bit of a punk vibe. The only piece of jewellery are the medium size silver earrings, a nod to the classic studs. Simplicity is key – but with a few very cool details to discover.

I really love my basics, although my definition of basic is “something explicitly non-boring I won’t tire of wearing everyday”.

By this definition, some of my favourite basics are the washable faux leather Wolford leggings (and the new midnight blue Estella skirt I wore in my Autumn slow fashion “lookbook”), Lindsey (150€) in black and Velours (220€) in taupe. Both are “legs for days” pieces.
Velours is the model worn here – it’s soft, cosy and super stretchy and the dusty colour is very forgiving – a key feature IRL!
All styles available: Wolford online shop.

The writing on the wall shirt.

This bright red Ecoalf number says “because there is no planet B.”, red on red.
A bold statement on a nice, basic sweater with a clever side pocket: wearable and trendy for all you eco-warriors out there.
This model is a press sample that’s currently sold out but there are more women’s and men’s sweatshirts (79€) and t-shirs (39€) made from regenerated cotton featuring the same print available from the Ecoalf online shop.
I also love this look with the warmer, bright red Blütezeit Berlin hoodie that I’m wearing for my Steampunk Red Riding Hood costume.

Unchained in the city.

The Myrka Studios cork and cotton bag Rhania (GOTS certified fabric) was available as a supporter reward when this brand new company started a (successful) crowdfunding campaign to launch their first vegan-friendly and ethical collection for women and men. It’s a nice, flat style that can hold your urbanista necessities – smartphone or even a tablet, purse, flat make-up bag, keys – with a chain that can be worn two ways. A sleek statement bag that looks sophisticated enough for the office.
Available from the Myrka Studios online shop, 130€.

There is something about combat boots that just keeps me purchasing them.

Mostly the safety and security feeling they provide. I’m talking not as much about the steel caps of these Vegetarian Shoes Airseal Para Boots (139€) as about the protection from the cold and the elements, and the comfy feeling of being able to conquer any ground conditions.
Shopped at Avesu, my favourite address for vegan-friendly footwear, this and similar models are available in a slew of colours.
