Tonight is the night 😉 Happy Halloween, Ethical Heroes and Adventurers! – Just showing up before the party starts, with my simple and elegant “mask” make-up.

Simple & Elegant
(And Also Tox-Free & Safe)
Halloween Make-Up

Now that my menu is ready, toxic decorations banned, and a suitably eerie dress selected, it’s time for the make-up look. Tox-free eye shadow (I’ve used und Gretel in ‘Patina’ reviewed & swatched here) and an eye-shadow brush plus a little water to make the effect more patchy and intense are all you need for a simple mask-like make-up.
HappyHalloween2015-MakeUpMaskEyes: und Gretel IMBE Eye Shadow in ‘Patina’, cheeks: Alima pure in ‘Guave’, lips: Benecos Natural Lipstick in ‘Cream‘ and und Gretel KNUTZEN Lip Gloss in ‘3 Matte Nude’.

In fact, I like the look so much, I wouldn’t mind wearing it every day. What do you think? 😉

P.S. But before we bid farewell to October 2015, a quick poll, please! Will really help me plan my posts for you in the months to follow 🙂

  1. Edgy! But no glitter? 😦 I answered your poll with a No, it was not helpful but need to add that’s because I am not a schedule type person, so whenever you post is fine by me. And, honestly, sometimes I don’t even know what day it is!

    1. No, no glitter 🙂 I have sensitive eyes, and I can’t get more annoyed than with glitter in my eyes… clothes… food 😀

It’s fine answering no, the majority said they liked a schedule. People who I asked IRL said they didn’t care for exact days but it’s helpful to understand how often a blog updates, so it is still helpful, in particular when a blog has so many very different topics like BEAUTYCALYPSE 🙂

  2. Oh my…you are so stunning! I love this look. In my Goth period, I could have worn it everyday!!
I hope that you had a thrilling Halloween…

    1. Awwww, you get me blushing, Heather! I think this kind of edgy should be a trend… No, a movement! 😀

  3. I LOVE this – I used to have a snake necklace like that. Kinda super hero…and so pretty Ms Cheekbones. Why can’t we dress up every day!

I’m saving your Und Gretel review to read after I’ve drafted my thoughts but really interested to see what you think.

    1. Ahaha, Ms Cheekbones 😀 Thank you for that!

I do paint my face in similarly strange ways on occasions (aka going out). The threat in Berlin is that tourists take pictures of you, and I don’t want that kind of attention. I’m not a “professional freak” or an attention-seeking edgy celeb (nothing wrong with that either), I just like to wear edgy make-up. Sure, they say “but if you dress/paint your face/wear tattoos/yadda-yadda like THAT, you’re BEGGING for attention.” Erm, in fact: NO. It’s just a part of who I feel I am, no matter my age or status.
Also just this past Saturday a dude took a picture of my ring while I was choosing nail polish in a shop. Without asking 😦 That’s rude!
